As a former Olympian, I found that at times you need to be your own coach and mentor. Competing at Olympic level was an emotional journey for me. I had to learn that sometimes we do not always have the luxury of having our sports coaches or trainers present, especially when finance is not readily available. At times you need to be your own sports massage therapist and also learn to be emotionally and mentally ready for competitions. This way of learning inspired me to grow stronger and expand my knowledge into Intuitive Sports Coaching so that I can teach other individuals from any sporting code, how to excel in their sports career.
Each coach has their own unique coaching style that works and that no one else can replicate. Nevertheless, there are some traits that are common to all great coaches, no matter how they are applied. There is no single correct way to coach an athlete. From my perspective I feel that each athlete has the innate wisdom to tap into their own unique power and achieve greatness.
My approach to sports coaching a from a holistic point of view. I look at the individuals needs and coach the whole person, not just the athletic prowess.
